Nicky is the co-founder and Managing Partner of InfoSavvy 21, an international educational consulting firm.
She has been a classroom teacher, a school and university administrator, instructional designer, business sector manager and trainer and an international speaker. At the University of Waikato, New Zealand, she designed and delivered courses and workshops based on research of best practices in teaching and learning.
During the last 10 years, she has made hundreds of presentations in more than a dozen countries. Sharing her time between Canada and New Zealand, Nicky worked as the Director of Curriculum for the 21st Century Fluency Group. She lead a team of international writers in designing lesson plans that embedded the 21st Century Fluency skills to develop real world just-in-time teaching and learning experiences that were relevant to both teachers and students. Nicky is currently the Director of The InfoSavvy Group,an international educational consulting firm.
Together with Ryan Schaaf, she has just finished her first book, Making School a Game Worth Playing: Digital Games In the Classroom. She is currently at work on a second book on digital learning styles.
Nicky wants to make a difference where it matters most – and that starts with Education. Her mission is to help teachers in different settings and working conditions look beyond their surface differences, to discover what they have in common: a restless drive to improve learning for all students. She wants our conversations as educators to shift from “why that won’t work here,” to “learn, adapt, share and grow together.”

The Conference will be held April 6 – 10, 2020 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Your Keynote talk will be scheduled for April 7 or 8. The allotted time for your keynote talk is 45 minutes, followed by a one hour Keynote Conversation session for Q & A. We ask that during your keynote talk, one interactive activity with the audience be included, at minimum.
Background:
The Society for Information Technology and Teacher Education (SITE) has as its sole focus the integration of instructional technologies into teacher education programs. Annually, the SITE conference attracts the leaders in teacher education and technology from the U.S. and many other countries.
This year, we are expecting 1,500+ participants from 60 countries.
The SITE conference series is organized with the prestigious AACE – Assn. for the Advancement of Computing in Education, an international, non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of knowledge and learning with information technology.

Dear Nicky,
I am writing to you to bring to your attention the amazing event that will happen right here in Country Victoria, Australia in July 2020.
OGC2020 will be the worlds first Global Summit for Future Ready Learning bringing together educators from all over the world. Currently I have 80+ International presenters attending to run workshops, lectures and interactive sessions.
As a fellow educator I know this kind of event I could only dream about coming to Australia, so I am reaching out to as many Australia educators as I can personally.
